Postal applications are some of the most highly automated systems in the world. Every year the USPS processes more than 26 billion catalogs, magazines, newspapers and oversized envelopes by using high-tech automated sorting systems.

Under contract to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Siemens Dematic, and USPS directly, General Dynamics Robotic Systems (GDRS) has been successfully manufacturing United States Postal Service-related projects since 1994.

Working closely with our customers, GDRS developed a unique sorter technology, positioning us as the sole source for one of the largest USPS automation programs to date. The USPS has benefited from dramatically reduced operating costs and substantial time-savings through improved efficiencies and more streamlined processes.
