Homeland
Security
To reduce manpower and increase physical security
on the home front, autonomous robots are being
used in conjunction with cutting edge scanning
and detection technologies to non-lethally secure
warehouses, airfields, ammunition supply depots,
port facilities, and other fixed sites.
Operating day, night, and in all-weather conditions,
MDARS robots randomly patrol assigned areas and
use integrated sensors, video recording, and
two-way communication to detect and pre-screen
intruders. Remotely located security personnel
can assess the level of threat and act decisively
from a safe location.
Inventory, barriers, and locks are monitored
by an onboard RFID tag system. Scanning up to
60,000 tags and 2,500 locks within a single 12-hour
patrol shift, MDARS immediately detects tampering
and identifies misplaced or missing inventory.
Integrated access controls and video interfaces
secure indoor and outdoor perimeters, and onscreen
site maps expose protected areas, immediately
revealing and isolating potential threats. |
